The Silver Grill is a Northern Colorado icon and has been for over 83 years. It also just so happens to be one of our favorite spots for a classic american style meal. Each time you walk through it's doors you are taken back in time with it's weathered wood floors, brick walls, diner-style seating, cafeteria-like ambiance and enormous turn-of-the-century windows that proudly showcase Old Town. The clanking dishes, heaping plates of delicious food, era-appropriate attire and their signature Giant Cinnamon Rolls combine to give an old-world atmosphere that draw customers back time and time again to the "Grill".

“There's an entire section dedicated to its world famous giant cinnamon rolls, from mini buns to cinnamon-roll French toast..”

With its historic charm and classic food as its foundation, restaurant management knows you cannot rely on the same-old, same-old to remain successful in this business. Through multiple acquisitions, owner John Arnolfo has expanded restaurant seating five-fold. The Grill’s menu features 5 pages of breakfast and lunch options. It continues to offer such customer favorites as Cinnamon Roll French Toast and Chicken Fried Steak. Chef Heather Beckman has added more modern and adventurous offerings and an ever-changing menu of specialties, such as the soft shell Crabby Daddy Eggs Benedict, Lemon Poppy Seed Bread French Toast and Lugene’s Black Cow Milkshake made with Odell Lugene Chocolate Stout.

The Silver Grill is the only breakfast restaurant with a back patio lounge where alcoholic drinks are served. And it is a patio to boast about. It doubled in size three years ago (earning it a #1 ranking by locals) and is open year-round (a fire pit and blankets keep wintertime customers warm while waiting for a table). Summer and winter drink menus feature creative cocktails that are unique and refreshing.

We Do Local recommends stopping over to try The Silver Grill’s "Famous Giant Cinnamon Roll" – it’s most recognized menu item. Starting with an old recipe in a Betty Crocker cookbook and the help of a retired German baker, Arnolfo and his staff have grown from baking only 18 per day to well over 10,000 every month. In a recent review with Denver’s Westword magazine, “There's an entire section dedicated to its world famous giant cinnamon rolls, from mini buns to cinnamon-roll French toast..” This cinnamon roll is like no other, fresh and gooey with just the right hint of cinnamon. If you've never been to Silver Grill, what are you waiting for?
